eavol.com – Danielle NewJeans has been named CELINE’s newest global ambassador. The 18 year old KPop idol followed in the footsteps of BLACKPINK’s Lisa as CELINE’s representative.
On Friday (22/3/2024), French fashion house CELINE announced Danielle NewJeans as its global ambassador. CELINE shared a black and white photo of Danielle NewJeans on social media.
In the photo shared by CELINE, Danielle NewJeans is seen wearing the ‘Chelsea Jacket in Cashmere Bouclette Natté’ collection worth $5,200 or IDR 82 million.
Underneath the jacket, the ‘Super Shy’ singer wore the ‘Celine Paris Boxy T-shirt’ collection worth $750 or around Rp. 11 million.
“CELINE is proud to announce that Danielle NewJeans will represent the fashion house as global ambassador,” said CELINE in a statement on its official Twitter account @celineofficial.
The KPop NewJeans group agency, ADOR, then conveyed the news that Danielle had been appointed as CELINE’s global ambassador.
“Danielle will be involved in various activities as CELINE’s global ambassador. We look forward to the new synergy that Danielle and CELINE will create,” wrote an ADOR representative.
A number of Korean netizens were also happy to hear that Danielle NewJeans had been appointed as CELINE’s global ambassador. The Korean-Australian KPop idol is considered suitable to represent the fashion house.
Previously in January 2023, Danielle NewJeans was appointed as Burberry’s global ambassador. Korean netizens are wondering whether Danielle is still collaborating with the British fashion house.
“I think she (Danielle NewJeans) suits CELINE better than Burberry,” commented netizens on Korean community forums.
“She would also suit Miu Miu. Honestly, she is perfect for every brand,” said a netizen.
“CELINE seems to have a type, haha. They like slim models,” said another netizen.
Danielle NewJeans was named CELINE’s global ambassador, four years after BLACKPINK’s Lisa. BLACKPINK’s personal first joined the CELINE family in September 2020.
On the other hand, Lisa BLACKPINK fans are wondering whether Danielle NewJeans will replace Lisa BLACKPINK as CELINE’s newest global ambassador.
Not a few also suspect that BLACKPINK’s Lisa will join the Louis Vuitton family. During this year’s Paris Fashion Week, BLACKPINK’s Lisa surprised fans with her presence at the Louis Vuitton Fall/Winter 2024 show on Wednesday (6/3/2024). Recently, Lisa has also worn Louis Vuitton collections more often than CELINE.
